NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE HELENA TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO BE HELD ELECTRONICALLY
TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF HELENA, ANTRIM COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ALL OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS: Please take notice that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Helena Township Board of Trustees will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. by teleconference for the purpose of consideration of issues specified in the agenda below. Electronic remote access, in accordance with the Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-15, will be implemented in response to COVID-19 social distancing requirements and Michigan Governor’s Executive Order 2020-21.

NEW BUSINESS: Road Millage
Discussion to place following language on the ballot in August
Renewal language for the Helena Township Road Millage 2020
Shall the previously voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on general ad valorem taxes in Helena Township of 0.75 mill ($0.75 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), be renewed at 0.75 mill ($.75 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) and levied for a period of ten (10) years, 2021 through 2030 inclusive, for the purpose of providing funds for road construction and maintenance in Helena Township, thereby raising an estimated $103,525.00 for the Township when first levied in 2021?
