Draft Helena Township Board Meeting December 10th, 2020
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Butch Peeples, David Peterson, Cathy Rice, Butch Bartz. Bonnie Robbins absent. Motion by Bartz to approve the agenda and supported by Rice and approved. Motion by Rice to approve the minutes and supported by Bartz and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: beginning balance November 1st, 2020 is $446,681.15
Total receipts: $1,795.63 and total disbursements: $37,059.06
Ending balance as of 11/30/2020 is $411,417.72
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Bartz and supported by Peeples and approved. Presentation of Bills: November 1-30: $25,735.75 and December 1-10th: $12,990.92
Speakers: Ruth Smith reviewed annual report for 2020 for ARSC.
Communications: FEMA flood control information. Peterson met w/Antrim County Health Dept. and county emergency management director to discuss the use of the community center for future COVID vaccination clinics.
Zoning: Reviewed zoning report for November, 2020.
Planning Commission: No meeting in November.
Parks: No meeting in December.
Roads: Bartz reviewed allocation from the county road commission.
Old Business: HEPA filter system for the community center. Discussed previously proposed ionization system. Peterson to call Durkie to get cost estimate on HEPA filter system.
New Business: Future township board meetings to be by ZOOM. Rice read 2020 resolution to collect taxes for TBAISD and agreement to collect taxes for Mancelona school. Roll call vote: Bartz – yes, Peeples- yes, Peterson- yes, Rice- yes and Robbins absent. Resolution and agreement approved.

Bartz made the motion to pay the bills and supported by Peeples and approved.
