Meeting called to order by Gurr at 7:04 p.m.
Opened with Pledge of Allegiance.

Township officials present: Guy Molby, Bob Logee
Approval of Agenda: Motion: Robbins, 2nd Bassil. Carried
Statement of Conflict of Interest: None
Approval of Minutes: September 07, 2017 As presented Motion: Bassil, 2nd Robbins. Carried
Public Comment: 0 in attendance, Molby has seen an increase in requests for 2nd home or to
convert the garage to living quarters. Mostly for caring for their elderly parent or
relative. Commission will add this to topics reviewed for possible language
change in the ordinance.
Communications: Housing forum being held in Traverse City.
New Business: LU 3; FC 11; AC 0; PC 9; ZV 0
Molby to discuss permitted development project with Antrim County Soil Erosion
and Sedimentation Control officer.
Old Business: Further discussion on procedure of language change as outlined by former
township legal counsel. Public hearing to be held prior to submission to county
planning commission for input.
Motion to submit language presented to township board with recommendation of
approval. Motion: Robbins, 2nd Bassil, Carried
Discussion of setbacks in commercial and village zones. This will be added to
zoning ordinance language review points.
