SPECIAL MEETING – HELENA TOWNSHIP OATH OF OFFICE
At 8:54 on November 20th, 2012, the meeting was opened by Supervisor Wagner. The pledge of allegiance was said. Rice made the motion to approve the agenda with support by Gurr and motion carried.
Clerk, David Peterson, administered the oath to newly elected supervisor – Rick Teague. Supervisor Teague administered the oath to newly elected clerk – David Peterson. Clerk, David Peterson administered the oath to newly elected treasurer – Cathy Rice, newly elected trustee- Bonnie Robbins and newly elected trustee – Charles (Butch) Bartz, Sr.
Supervisor Teague recommended that Bonnie Robbins and Jim Gurr be appointed to the planning commission. Rice made the motion that Bonnie Robbins and Jim Gurr be appointed to the planning commission with support by Robbins and motion carried.
The ZBA was discussed and Doris Felton and David Cybala are alternates to the ZBA board. Supervisor Teague recommended that Bonnie Robbins be appointed to the ZBA board. Rice made the motion that Bonnie Robbins be appointed to the ZBA board with support by Bartz and motion carried.
Supervisor Teague suggested the formation of a road committee for prioritizing road maintenance/improvements projects for county roads within Helena Township. Jim Dewey, Mary Ann Stimpson and Butch Bartz Sr. were suggested to serve on the road committee.
Meeting adjourned at 9:15 AM by supervisor Teague.
