Helena Township Board Meeting December 9th, 2021
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Butch Peeples, David Peterson, Bonnie Robbins, and Butch Bartz and Cathy Rice. Motion by Robbins to approve the agenda and supported by Bartz and approved. Motion by Bartz to approve the November’s meeting minutes and supported by Robbins and approved.

Public Comment: Lori Stone talked about placement of dinky doors in Alden.
Treasurer’s Report: beginning balance November 1st, 2021 is $564,700.70
Total receipts: $3,403.02 and total disbursements: $27,829.89
Ending balance November 30; 2021 is $540,273.83.
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Robbins and supported by Bartz and approved.
Rice presented agreement for collection of school property taxes; Mancelona Public Schools and Helena Township. Motion for roll call vote 5 yes and 0. Agreement approved.
Presentation of Bills: November 1-30: $17,848.56, December 1-9th; $8234.74
Fire Chief/Sheriff Report: Reviewed report for STLFD
Speakers: None
Communications: Reviewed sheriff’s report.
Zoning: Logee’s report reviewed. Board of Review resolution 1292021 reviewed. Robbins made the motion to approve the resolution with support by Bartz. Roll call vote 5 yes and 0 no votes. Resolution approved.
Planning Commission: Meeting not held yet.
Parks & Rec: Peeples reported that Elmer’s will submit bid on erosion control at the ball park.
