Helena Township Board July 11, 2019 Minutes
Meeting called to order at 7 pm. Members present were Rick Teague, David Peterson, Butch Bartz, Bonnie Robbins and Cathy Rice absent.
Motion by Robbins to approve the agenda and supported by Bartz and approved.
Motion by Robbins to approve the minutes and supported by Bartz and approved.
Public Comment: Conservation Officer, Andrea Albert requested a letter of support from the township to extend the no wake zone Clam river area.
Treasurer’s report; beginning balance June 1, 2019 is $459,573.85
Total receipts: $64,956.88 and total disbursements: $69,473.36
Ending balance as of 06/30/2019 is $455,057.37
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Teague and supported by Robbins and approved.
Presentation of Bills: June 1-30: $56,477.73 and July 1-11; $11,175.20

Zoning: Zoning report presented by Bob Logee.
Planning Commission: Robbins reported that PC approved language changes to zoning ordinance, held public hearing, and 30 day review by county and adjacent twp.’s
Ambulance Authority: Special election August 6th for EMS services millage renewal.
Parks: Ruth Smith reported that there is a letter of support for Antrim Conservation District obtaining DEQ permit and grant for funds for erosions control project at the ball park.
Roads: No update.

Additional Public Comment: Jim Gurr commented on erosion control at the ball park.
Teague made the motion to pay the bills with support by Robbins and approved.
