Helena Township Board meeting October 10th, 2019
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Rick Teague, David Peterson, Butch Bartz, Bonnie Robbins and Cathy Rice. Motion by Robbins to approve the agenda and supported by Bartz and approved. Motion by Robbins to approve the minutes and supported by Teague and approved.
Public Comment: None
Treasurer’s Report: beginning balance September 1st, 2019 is $411,838.08
Total receipts: $6,550.14 and total disbursements: $23,809.39
Ending balance as of 09/30/2019 is $394,528.83
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Teague and supported by Robbins and approved. Presentation of Bills: September 1-30; $18,222.04 and October 1-10th; $5,778.88

Communications.
Zoning: Zoning report reviewed.
Planning Commission: Robbins presented to the board the revised planning commission by-laws. Robbins made the motion to approve the revised by-laws with support by Rice and the motion carried. Zoning ordinance to be changed from agriculture, along the East side of East Torch lake Drive from Alden to the commercial district, to R-1. Public hearing in November.
Ambulance Authority: No update.
Parks: Ruth Smith reported that they have not received approval by the DNR for the 5 year plan. Plan to inventory parks for capital improvement plan. Revising the forest management plan.
Roads: No update
