SPECIAL MEETING – HELENA TOWNSHIP BOARD    12/10/2010

OPEN BIDS FOR ALDEN DOCK PROJECT

A special meeting was held December 10^th at 2:00 PM.  Penny Wagner, supervisor, called the meeting to order at 2:00 PM.  Pledge of allegiance was said.  Present: Wagner, Rice, Peterson, Gurr, and Teague.  Five people in audience including Jamie Wade from Gourdie-Fraser.

The bids were opened as follows:

J.E. Tiffany and Sons, LLC for $79,290.00 including bid bond.

Lakeshore Marine Construction LTD. for $76,921.95 including bid bond.

Pete’s Contracting for $68,001.00 including bid bond.

Gourdie-Fraser is to review bids and write letter to Helena Township with its recommendation.  Helena Township Board has to then approve bid.  Gourdie-Fraser to write letter to Jordan Byelich at MDNRE who has 90 days to approve bid.

Flotation Docking Systems, Inc. has provided pre-bid qualifications for the floating piers for the Alden Safe-Harbor floating dock project.
