December 9th, 2010
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 PM by Supervisor Wagner and pledge of allegiance was said. Present: Rice, Peterson, Wagner, Gurr, Teague. Motion to approve agenda by Gurr with support by Rice, motion carried. Five people in audience.
Public Comment: None
Approval of minutes: Rice made motion to approve the minutes as amended, support from Wagner. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Library beginning balance as of November 30, 2010 $41,519.58

Disbursements $11,677.08
Bank balance as of 11/30/10 $31,777.89

Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Wagner, support Teague, motion carried.
Presentation of bills: Township November 1-30, 2010: $15,229.22 and December 1-9, 2010: $7,079.30. Library reported spending $11,667.08 and the TLFD reported spending $19,037.89.
Speakers: None
Communications: Sheriff’s report.
Committee reports: Zoning administrator. Molby provided board with written report of status of the seven requirements at the car wash.
Planning Commission: Jim Gurr reported there will be a joint meeting in January with the planning commission and the township board.
Ambulance authority: Rick Teague updated that work has begun on the renovations at the old fire barn in Mancelona.
Old business: None
New Business: Information from the Helena Township Library regarding their desire to become a district library for board members review. Township energy audit identified areas at the community center which need insulating. Jerry Alpers to begin to work on completing some of these items. Reviewed township audit and discussed recommendations.
Announcements: December 10th at 2:00 PM a special meeting of the Helena Township board will be held to open bids for the Alden dock project.

Motion to pay bills by Wagner, support Rice, and motion passed.
