Helena Township Board Meeting – 12/14/2017
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Supervisor Rick Teague. Present: Rick Teague, David Peterson, Butch Bartz, Catherine Rice. Bonnie Robbins was absent. Motion to approve agenda by Rice w/support by Bartz and motion carried.

Public Comment: Ruth Smith inquired about a defibrillator for the community center.
Approval of minutes: Motion by Rice w/support by Bartz and motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: Beginning balance as of November 1st, 2017: $336,055.80
Receipts: $14,767.21 Dispersed: $24,449.39
Ending balance: $326,373.62 as of 11/30/2017
Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Teague w/support by Bartz and motion carried.
Presentation of Bills: Nov. 1-30; $13,289.76 and Dec. 1-14; $5,061.30

New Business: Resolution 121417A was approved by the Helena Township Board for the collection of Summer tax by the Treasurer for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
Terrace drive resolution provided by attorney Barry Cole and reviewed by Teague for the board. Resolution 121417B was offered by Teague with support by Bartz; roll call vote resulted in four yes votes with one trustee absent and resolution 121417B was adopted by the Helena Township board.
The township board adopted the Community Center Use Policy and Fees to begin February 1st, 2018. The new hourly rental rate will be $6.00 per hour reduced from $12.00 per hour.
