Helena Township Board Meeting
December 11th, 2014
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance by Supervisor Rick Teague. Present: David Peterson, Butch Bartz, Bonnie Robbins and Catherine Rice absent. Motion to approve agenda by Robbins with support by Bartz and motion carried.

Public Comment: None
Approval of minutes: Motion by Robbins to approve the Novembers meetings minutes with support by Teague and the motion carried.
Treasurers Report: Township: Beginning balance as of November 1st, 2014 $422,335.81
Receipts $2,842.70
Disbursements $57,905.19
Bank balance 11/30/14 $367,273.32
Motion to approve the Treasurers report by Teague with support by Bartz and motion carried.
Presentation of bills: November 1-30, 2014 – $48,470.80 and December 1-11, 2014 $5,743.28.

Committee Reports:
Zoning – Molby gave report for November. There will be a ZBA meeting January 14th, 2015.
Planning Commission Robbins reported that public input will continue from the Walker Shores Site Plan Reviews public hearing during Januarys Planning Commission meeting. A work session for the Walker Shores Site plan will start at 6:00 PM January 7th, 2015 and the regular meeting of the Planning Commission will start at 7:00 PM.
Ambulance Authority No updates.
Parks and Recreation Committee Ruth Smith reported that the P&R committee meeting for November was cancelled and there is no meeting scheduled in December. Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. in the government room in the Helena Township Community Center.
Roads: No updates.
Old Business: Teague read the request to remove Jesse Lane from the credit card. Teague made the motion with support from Robbins and the motion carried.
New Business: Revised cemetery policy reviewed by Peterson. Teague made the motion to accept the revisions to the Helena Township Cemetery Policy with support by Robbins and the motion carried.
Teague reappointed Steve Dell, Steve Kershner, and Ken Renaud to the board of review. Motion to approve reappointments by Robbins with support by Bartz and the motion carried. Teague read the board of review meeting schedule resolution. Teague made the motion to accept the dates with support by Robbins and the roll call vote was Bartz; yes, Robbins; yes, Teague; yes, Peterson; yes, and Rice absent.
Additional Public comment: Jim Gurr thanked the board for their service and wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
Motion to pay bills: Teague made the motion to pay the bills with support by Bartz and motion carried.
Meeting was adjourned by call of the Chair at 7:43 PM.
