HELENA TOWNSHIP BUDGET HEARING
Helena Township held a budget hearing Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the
Community Center at 8751 Helena Road, Alden, Mi 49612 at 10 AM. Copies
of the budget were available. No one was present from the public. Penny Wagner, supervisor, opened the hearing at 10:00 AM. The pledge of allegiance was said. Discussion was held and amounts were updated to current date for expenses and receipts. Cost of living was discussed and requested update according to CPI. Current cost of living according to CPI is 3.1% and this was noted and changed to be reflected in budget. The hearing was adjourned at 11:15 AM.
The meeting reopened at 11:50 AM with the Helena Township board reviewing the 2010-2011 budget with revisions. Present were Wagner, Rice, Peterson, and Teague with Gurr absent. Roll call vote was taken to accept 2010-2011 revised budget with current updates made through June to receipts and expenses. Roll call vote with yes from Wagner, Rice, Peterson, and Teague; Gurr absent. Wagner made motion to amend library budget to a zero balance and return to board. Motion supported by Teague and motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 11:55 AM.
