Draft Helena Township Board Meeting October 8th, 2020
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Rick Teague, David Peterson, Bonnie Robbins, Cathy Rice and Butch Bartz. Motion by Robbins to approve the agenda and supported by Bartz and approved. Motion by Teague to approve the minutes as corrected and supported by Robbins and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: beginning balance September 1st, 2020 is $545,976.58
Total receipts: $1,375.04 and total disbursements: $36,636.03
Ending balance as of 09/30/2020 is $503,425.81
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Teague and supported by Bartz and approved. Presentation of Bills: September 1-30th: $27,425.65 and October 1-8th: $3,808.28

Zoning: Reviewed zoning report for August, 2020.
Planning Commission: Robbins reported public hearing held October 8th at 3:00 PM. Ordinance changes go to the county next for approval and then to township board in Novenber.
Ambulance Authority: No update.
Parks: Discussion on possible ordinance to regulate commercial activity at the Alden Safe Harbor and possible boat size restrictions. Board tom seek legal advice. Discussion on opening community center for pickleball. Peterson stated that there will not be any pickleball scheduled in the evenings after 7:00 PM and after the building closes on Saturday when the library closes. The community center is cleaned and used areas disinfected every evening. Reviewed proposal from ARSC with MOU for pickleball regulations and scheduling.
Teague made the motion that when MOU is revised that Bonnie Robbins and David Peterson would approve and then sign revised MOU to reopen pickleball at the community center and supported by Robbins and motion carried.
