Helena Township Board Meeting September 8th, 2022
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were David Peterson, Bonnie Robbins, and Cathy Rice. Butch Bartz and Butch Peeples absent. Motion by Robbins to approve the agenda and supported by Rice and approved. Motion by Robbins to approve the August’s meeting minutes and supported by Rice and approved.

Public Comment: None
Treasurer’s Report: beginning balance August1st, 2022 is $776,17
Total receipts: $19,760.15 and total disbursements: $232,964.96
Ending balance August 31; 2022 is $562,965.19
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Robbins and supported by Peterson and approved.
Treasurer to look into better interest rates at different banks and credit unions for township and tax checking accounts.
Presentation of Bills: August 1-31: $222,528.70, September 1-8th; $10,318.87
Fire Chief/Sheriff Report: Paul Fabiano reviewed report for STLFD.

Communications: None
Zoning: Reviewed Bob Logee’s zoning report
Planning Commission: Robbins reported public hearing for a special use permit for the Alden Volunteers Oct. 6th at 6:00 PM. Board approves the printing of new zoning ordinances.
Parks & Rec: All picnic tables and half benches painted. Possibility of adding building at tennis court park.
Roads: Nothing to report.
Old Business: Supervisor to visit and review all lake accesses with fire Chief, Paul Fabiano

Additional Public Comment: Terry VanAlstine commented on creating a durable power of attorney at Antrim County Probate Court.
Robbins made the motion to pay the bills and supported by Peterson and approved.
