Helena Township Board Meeting August 11th, 2022
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. Members present were Butch Peeples, David Peterson, Bonnie Robbins, Cathy Rice and Butch Bartz. Motion by Robbins to approve the agenda and supported by Bartz and approved. Motion by Bartz to approve the July’s meeting minutes and supported by Robbins and approved.

Treasurer’s Report: beginning balance July1st, 2022 is $828147.42
Total receipts: $16810.83 and total disbursements: $68,788.25
Ending balance July 31; 2022 is $776,170.00
Motion to approve the treasurer’s report by Robbins and supported by Bartz and approved.
Rice proposed CD’s for the cemetery and building funds. Motion by Robbins to approve $100,000.00 CD at 3.0% for 36 months for the cemetery and the same for the building with support by Bartz and the motion carried.
Presentation of Bills: July 1-31: $53,312.96, August 1-11th; $10,343.24
Fire Chief/Sheriff Report: Paul Fabiano reviewed report for STLFD. Reviewed sheriff’s report.

Communications: None
Zoning: Reviewed Bob Logee’s zoning report
Planning Commission: Motion by Robbins with support from Bartz for proposed Ordinance language changes from Planning Commission and motion carried. Motion by Rice with support by Peeples for $150.00 yearly fee special use permit for food trucks and motion carried.
Master plan and marijuana surveys to be mailed out.
Parks & Rec: Supervisor appointed Amy Paul to Parks & Rec committee. Split rail fence to be installed at Lone Tree Point public access. Ruth Smith is retiring from Parks & Rec.
Roads: Scheduled McPherson Road and Alden Meadows.
Old Business: Supervisor to visit and review all lake accesses with fire Chief, Paul Fabiano
New Business: None
Announcements: Ball Park closed 08/12/2022; Friday night and Saturday for parking for wedding.
Additional Public Comment: Colleen Ward commented on Lone Tree Point public access.
Robbins made the motion to pay the bills and supported by Bartz and approved.
