Minutes from the Helena Township Parks and Recreation Committee meeting of March 8, 2023.
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by Dell.
Present: Loveland, Paul, Snyder, Gurr, Dell
Absent: Apley, Robbins
Dell discussed respect and consideration for other committee members when they are speaking. All agreed to limit speaking to “one at a time”.
The “Lone Tree Point” site plan application was reviewed by members using the Parks and Recreation rating system. Members discussed the circumstance of an anonymous donor providing funding for the project. Subcommittee members Paul and Snyder assured the committee that the site plan being considered is the product of the subcommittee and the anonymous donors only role was to fund this project. After completing the rating system, Gurr motioned that the Helena Township Parks and Recreation Committee approve the Lone Tree Point site plan and project. Snyder seconded that motion. A vote was held, and all members voted in favor of approving this project and recommending to the Helena Township Board that they also approve it.
Meeting was adjourned at 5:55 pm.
